The highly popular Starlight 48 fiber is an end-emitting fiber optic cable used in star field applications.

It is single bundle cable made of three size fibers; 34 (thirty-four) strands of .75mm fiber, 10 (ten) strands of 1.0mm fiber, and 4 (four) stands of 1.5mm fiber. 48 total fibers in each bundle. The bundle is covered in a black PVC jacket for easy handling and fiber protection.

The advantage of the Starlite 48 cable from other cable types is the ability to create a dimensional depth effect or the appearance of stars at different distances.
